Photographs of towns, villages, countryside and scenery of Wales, UK. This website is always growing. In the summer, when the weather is fine, the onlineWales team recharge the camera batteries, collect together the sim cards and set of on another expedition, taking photographs for PictureWales.
Almost all the images are digital photographs, taken on an Olympus megapixel SLR camera which yields superb pictures. We are always interested in using existing pictures. If you have pictures of Wales in any format - paintings, lithographs, sketches, drawings, slides, even photographic negatives, we would be happy to include them in the picture gallery.
Historical photos are also of great interest to us. The current archive uses images which were almost all taken in 1999 and 2000. This archive is designed to show all aspects of Wales. Not just the glorious scenery on a hot sunny day, but mudane images of industrial towns, rainy days in the winter, sprawling council estates and industrial estates, bus stations, railway stations, people. We want to show Wales as it is - a small country with startling contrasts. We are interested in pictures from all the counties: Gwent, Glamorgan, Dyfed, Powys, Gwynedd.
If you have pictures of Wales you would let us publish, we'll give you a byline as a link if required, and the copyright remains with you.
